OMG this is the worst viewing experience I have ever had. Ads break in in mid-sentence. One ad interrupts another. If I was paying for ads I would be quite upset. The screen blanks out and you have to restart the movie. To top it off it was working ok and with. 3 minutes left in the movie it blanked out. They must have all the engineers that flunked out of school working for them. I don’t mind watching ads for a movie that isn’t on one of the services I pay for, but Plex is sheer torture. Delete. (I have a newer Sony Android TV.)
I bought a subscription and havent managed to watch any videos I already have through it yet
Its just so complicate and so fussy about every little detail. a horrible program to use. kodi is a hundred times better.
A great experience until it goes wrong, good for n00bs but any one technical needs more options. Random transcoding errors make this the poor mans apple of media consolidation.
Plex is a rip off and don't work so well, i share with about 20 family members and about 6 friends and i also paid for plex pass, well they disabled my account saying i am selling for access, i ask them where did you guys get this idea from they would not tell me and i wasted money on plex pass, i tried again with a new account and it was working fine but once i paid for plex pass few days later the account got disabled again. Plex is all about money and the support is very bad to the point where the support started to not act professional at all. I am using emby and over 3 years never had problems with it.
Developers are obsessed with changing the interface. They constantly change it radically. I already lost count how many times they did this. And problem here is that nothing was wrong with the previous interface, but they still change it over and over... And every time they release new update, they break something. Stop fixing things that aren't broken! Horrible company.
Absolutely terrible software at every level. Deceptive marketing leads you to think that the platform is stable when they sell you a subscription. Does not work properly a majority of the time.
App closes itself for no reason on Windows, doesn't seem to play nice with a VPN half the time, and wants you to pay for this garbage experience for what, more features? When it doesn't work consistently? FOH
I am the disappointed owner of a Plex lifetime pass. It promised so much but delivered so little. There's a TV show I want to watch which it says is available and free to view. I can add it to my watch list, read all the information about it, but there is no obvious way to get it to actually play on any device that I own!!! I've tried for over an hour, and wish I could get my money back for this rubbish.
By looking at other reviews it seems obvious that this app is not for everyone, you will need to setup a media server for this to work to it's full potential, but its amazing UI and very easy setup with almost flawless integration onto mobile and TV. Couldn't reccomend anything better for watching your own media.
One thing to note: Filenames are very important and could cause issues if not named well.
Kudos to the developers.
The app is terrible on PS4. The UI is borderline unusable, there is severe input delay, it has constant buffering no matter what resolution you put it on, adjusting resolution while watching something (which it gives you the option to do) causes a black screen and you have to get off then back on whatever your watching, and there are frequent crashes.
when youre looking to watch 1/15 of a movie. With skipping every 5 seconds. Plex is the nuisance for you. if youre looking to throw away money. this is your platform.
developers. ill see you on the funny news.
